How long have you been a florist? I began Christopher Flowers in 2003. Before that I worked as a designer for a downtown Seattle flower shop during 2002-03.
What is your style? My design philosophy is based on creating visual harmony and flow, and on combining and arranging flowers so their natural beauty is shown to its best. I love working in all styles of floral design, from classic to modern.
What packages do you offer? All of my wedding orders are à la carte. You may pick and choose just the items you wish, and prices are all based on the types of flowers used and on the size and complexity of the designs.
Consultation Fee: $75 (applied to your order when you book.)
Wedding Orders begin at $3,000.
How do we reserve our date? A deposit of 50% of the approximate total is required to reserve the wedding date. Adjustments and updates can still be made after the deposit is paid.
How many weddings do you do in a day? One. On rare occasions when a small wedding is taking place in the morning and another wedding in the evening, for example, we may schedule two weddings for the same day, but this is generally avoided.
Do you provide linens, chair covers, lighting, etc.? I do not keep an inventory of these items, but can easily handle the rental of these for you or provide referrals to other great specialists if you would like to rent them yourself.
Why is the balance due before the wedding date? This is standard among florists and many other wedding professionals. Fresh floral product is ordered well before the wedding date, and by having the total decided and paid in advance we can ensure that the desired varieties and quantities will be available.
What happens if you get sick? As a member of the Greater Seattle Floral Association, I have a dozen or so other excellent florists on whom to call in case of an emergency (and vice versa.)
Who will actually be making our wedding arrangements? Me!
Do you provide examples of the arrangements? I prefer, and have had great success by, providing sketches to my clients in place of mock-up arrangements. These are available at no additional cost after the deposit has been received. Sample arrangements are also available for a reasonable fee.
Do you bring the flowers to the wedding and reception? We offer full delivery, installation, and removal service. This will be listed as a separate item in your proposal.
